The main theme of the 2024 event will be "Data Standardization for International Interoperability." Data standardization in healthcare information is crucial to achieving global interoperability. Standardization enables seamless data exchange and understanding between different healthcare systems and institutions, thereby promoting global collaborative research and cross-border healthcare cooperation. This contributes to more accurate diagnoses and treatments for patients, as well as accelerating the development of new drugs and medical methods. Standards such as HL7, FHIR, ICD, LOINC, SNOMED CT, and DICOM provide a unified language and framework for data exchange, ensuring consistency and accuracy of data on a global scale.

We have invited experts from the National Health Research Institutes, National Center for High-Performance Computing, National Taiwan University, and Taipei Medical University to share their insights, experiences, and visions on interoperability. Additionally, the "Taiwan Health Big Data Integration Service Platform" will conduct an on-site demonstration of data format conversion and analysis within the Trusted Research Environment (TRE).

Internationally, we are honored to have Diego Kaminker, Deputy Chair and Standards Implementation Officer, who will deliver a presentation on Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) and Health Level Seven (HL7).
